Paterson and Dowding was established in 1968 and over the years we have built a reputation as a highly regarded, long established medium sized law firm based in Perth, Western Australia with a total staff of around 30.

One of our founding partners was the former Premier of Western Australia, The Honourable Peter Dowding SC. Mr Dowding retired as a partner of the firm in 1979.

We practise exclusively in the area of Family Law and our team of skilled and committed lawyers strive to work with our clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our lawyers, who include six accredited family law specialists endeavour to provide the support and understanding that clients require during, what can be, one of the must difficult times of their lives.

Our team of lawyers are well supported with extensive resources, technology, ongoing training and education in relation to ever changing legislation and regulations, in order to provide the best possible service and advice to clients.
